One Thing Leads to Another
When you, my favorite and only daughter, had your birthday, I bought you a pie. You really like cherry pie much better than birthday cake and so does your daddy. Because we have three birthdays in March in our family, we can have birthday cake for someone else’s party. You love looking at me light the candles and your daddy and grandma love looking at you look at the candles. I am whispering in your ear, I am telling you what a birthday is. I am remembering the day you were born and how little you were then. I am so happy that you have grown up to be such a big girl. Let’s all sing the birthday song…HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU…
Mama wants to repeat the word “birthday” a lot because it is a new and special word that is hard to understand.
